SEO lab is a completely new site, intended for all those interested in SEO.
SEO lab will explore, in full view, how search engines rate/rank different elements of SEO - publicly, and irrevocably - for the benefit of everyone. SEO lab is a public information service and reference point regarding basic Search Engine Optimisation issues and techniques.
SEO lab is not about reverse engineering search engine alogrithms. We're here to simply, clearly - and publicly - demonstrate how individual on-page elements can have an affect - or not - on search engine rankings.
As well as the public experiments, we'll ensure that we provide good educational reading on the subject, in the form of supplemental articles by those with real experience in the field: from the rising stars of today, to the experienced pros of old.
Although some of the articles do cover issues for basic users, the emphasis is actually on medium to advanced SEO issues.
Just remember that SEO is a complex field, constantly balancing various elements and taking innumerable details into account. Ultimately, there is a lot more to SEO than anyone here either can, or is willing, to teach.
That's probably a good thing. After all, SEO isn't just about theory - it's about learning through practical experience.
